The past Simple Tense

We use the past simple to the list completed a series of actions in the past.

• Examples:

I consider walking home from my friend and we saw a movie.

The past simple can be used for a period that starts and stops in the past. The length is an action and

often indicated by the words: for two years, for five minutes, All day, all year.

• Examples:
  
• I lived in Spain for seven years.
